Support
Groups to Meet

The following support groups will be meeting in the near future at VMH.
Diabetes Support Group Meeting January 21 at Veterans Memorial Hospital
The Veterans Memorial Hospital Diabetes Support Group will meet on
Thursday, January 21 at 10:00 a.m. in the Large Conference Room at
Veterans Memorial Hospital. Dr. Jim Rixen, Optometrist, will be
the featured speaker.
This diabetes class is open to everyone who has diabetes or has a
friend or loved one with diabetes. For more information on the
Diabetes Support Group, please call Teresa Myers, RN, Diabetes
Coordinator, at Veterans Memorial Hospital at 568-3411.
Infant Loss Support Group Meeting at VMH
The next Infant Loss Support Group meeting will be held at Veterans
Memorial hospital on Sunday, January 24, at 7 p.m. in the Large
Conference Room. Anyone who has been touched by the loss of an
infant is welcome to attend.
When an infant dies as a result of miscarriage, pregnancy
complications, stillbirth, SIDS or any other complications after birth,
family members are deeply changed. This support group welcomes
anyone who has been touched by an infant loss of any kind. It
makes no difference if the infant loss happened recently or many years
ago, everyone is welcome to attend—parents, grandparents, brothers,
sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends or anyone
else touched by the loss of the infant.

who formed this new Infant Loss Support Group: Cheryl Livingston

No Parkinson Support Group Meeting in January
The Waukon Area Parkinson Support Group will not have their regular
meeting in the month of January. For more information on the
Waukon Area Parkinson Support Group, please call Connie Mettille at
538-4005 or Sarah Welsh at 568-2049.
